Growing Knowledge. Harvesting Future Agricultural Leaders.

THIS INITIATIVE IS TO GIVE SOMEONE THE FUTURE THEY DREAMT OF

ADOPT A FARMER

Agriculture is the backbone of African food security, rural employment, and economic resilience. Across South Africa, thousands of passionate, hardworking young people dream of running sustainable farm enterprises, but lack the financial means to access accredited education, digital tools, and practical field training.

Through the Adopt a Farmer initiative – pioneered by Umnga Farmers Group, individuals, businesses, and international sponsors can directly fund, equip, and mentor an aspiring agricultural student.

HOW IT WORKS:

Direct, Audited & Personal

We believe sponsorship should never feel like a blind donation. When you adopt a farmer, you walk the journey with them from their first online module to their practical field assessments,

  • Quarterly Video Logs: Receive unscripted video updates directly from your student showing their progress, practical trials, and fieldwork.
  • Academic Verification: Term-by-term milestone reports and certified assessment results.
  • Virtual Graduation Showcase: An invitation to celebrate your student’s achievements at their year-end graduation and portfolio presentation.
  • Strict Accountability: All equipment remains the property of Umnga Farmers Group  until graduation, ensuring hardware is protected and studies are prioritised.
